  1. Sorry to hear of John’s passing . My condolences to Joan and his sons and grandchildren. My memory of John was nothing but the best. John was a bit older but we go way back to his home and family. My best regards and sympathy, Lee Puglia aka Chuck.

  2. I am saddened to learn of John’s passing. John was one of my Dad’s best friends and remained so for close to 65 years.
John and his dear wife Joan were also my God parents. That was always very special to me.
He meant so much to my father and our family.
I will always remember some of great stories that my had Dad shared with me about John and Tommy Henderson, his other best friend, carousing as teenagers. Most not fit for print .
My sincere condolences to Joan and their boys & grandchildren.

    1. I can’t share much more than my brothers comments, because he laid out the special relationship my father had with John. They were close in the heart, loved to argue and laugh. My father’s eyes lit up when the phone rang from John, especially when we were away from New England for a number of years in California. As young as I was, I always loved visiting the Puglia’s house. Dad, was always excited to spend time with him and Joan.
