MaryEllen Fisher

MaryEllen (Holbert) Fisher – 84, of North Reading, died Tuesday, April 21, 2020 at Care One in Peabody. She was the beloved wife of the late Charles H. Fisher, Sr.

Born in Boston, MA on June 6, 1935. She was the daughter of the late Arless and Winnifred S. (Evelyn) Holbert. MaryEllen has been a resident of North Reading for the past 62 years and a member of St. Theresa’s Church.

MaryEllen has been retired from TJX Companies. She loved her family especially spending holidays with everyone. She was a collector of anything to do with Lighthouses, she also enjoyed reading and crossword puzzles.

Family members include her loving sons, Edward Fisher and his late husband Doug of Yardley, PA and Michael Fisher and his wife Carol of Reading and the late Charles H. Fisher, Jr.; her daughter, Mary B. Joyce and her husband John of Wilmington; former daughter-in-law, Sharon Fisher of Hampstead, NH; late brothers, Bernard B. and Richard Holbert and her late sister, Martha Melanson; grandmother of 5 and great grandmother of 4.

Sandra A. Bryer

Sandra A. (Kusnerz) Bryer – 75, of North Reading, died Wednesday, April 22, 2020 at the Palm Center in Chlemsford.

Born in Stoneham, MA on January 18, 1945. She was the daughter of the late Leo and Mildred Tymeson (Mahan) Kusnerz. Sandra was raised and attended school in Stoneham and was a graduate of Stoneham High School.

She was a former Federal Women’s Program Manager for Hanscom Air Force Base. Sandra was also retired from Civil Service. Most recently she was employed by BAE.

She loved to read all genres, she taught her family to use its first PC and she was First Director, I.S.I., Boston.

She loved to celebrate holidays with her family, playing cards, eating, cooking and spending time with her many pets. She has been a resident of North Reading for the past 48 years and member of St. Theresa’s Church.

Family members include her loving husband of 55 years, Arthur E. Bryer; her son, Jason Bryer and his wife Lisa of Dracut; late brothers, Herbert, Robert, Richard and William Mahan; sisters, Lois (Kusnerz) Grace and the late Theresa Mahan Kalil.

Services will be private, due to COVID-19. A memorial service will be held at a future date. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made in here memory to Alzheimer’s Association, www.alz.org . Opal S. Dinsmore

Opal S. (Lancaster) Dinsmore – 102, of Melrose and formerly of North Reading, died April 13 at Melrose Healthcare in Melrose. She was the beloved wife of the late Mervin Dinsmore. Robert J. Mauceri

Robert J. Mauceri – 77, of North Reading and formerly of Revere, passed away at his home on Sunday, April 19, 2020.

Born in Boston, MA on April 22, 1942, he was the son of the late Joseph and Helen (DeFranzo) Mauceri. He was raised in Revere and was a graduate of Revere High School. Bob received his B.S. and M.S. in engineering from Northeastern University. He was a computer consultant for Ekaru in Westford.

Bob was a Town of North Reading volunteer since 1972. He was involved with the Finance Committee, School Committee, Hillview Country Club and was a Selectman for 15 years. He has been a resident of North Reading for the past 53 years and a member of St. Theresa Parish.

Bob had a passion for cars (especially Porsches), he loved vacationing with his family at Lake Winnipesaukee.

Family members include his loving wife of 55 years, Angela (Ciccia) Mauceri; sons, Robert Joseph Mauceri, Jr. and David Arthur Mauceri; his daughter, Christine Mauceri Drane; brothers, Thomas Mauceri and the late Lawrence Mauceri; 7 grandchildren, Camille, Rose and Silvia Mauceri, Trevor and Colette Drane, Samantha and April Mauceri.

Graveside services will be private and a memorial service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made in his memory to the North Reading Food Pantry, P.O. Robert Scott Sutherland

Robert  Scott  Sutherland – 68, of North Reading, formerly of Stoneham and Pennsylvania, died on Wednesday, April 15, 2020 at the Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers from a courageous 11 year battle with multiple myeloma.

Born on March 15, 1952 in Sewickley, PA he was the son of the late Gene H. and Lois (Kerchner) Sutherland. Scott was a graduate of Quaker Valley High School, spent a year at Rollins College in Florida and was a 1974 graduate of Penn State University with a Bachelor of Science Degree. He was a Regional Sales Manager at Information Builders, Inc., retiring in August of 2017.

He was a member at the Thomson Country Club, the PSU Alumni Association, Beta Theta PI at PSU and the Union Congregational Church in North Reading.

Scott was known for his sense of humor, intellect and had a strong love for his family and friends.  Scott was a true blue and white Penn State Nittany Lion through and through, and an avid Pittsburgh Steelers and Pirates fan with an additional love of Big Band music.

His hobbies include reading, golfing with his buddies and son, spending time with his family, friends, and swing dancing with his wife. He also enjoyed traveling with his family in the USA and abroad.

Family members include his loving wife Brenda L. (Roush) Sutherland of 36 years; daughter Samantha G. Sutherland of South Boston, son Scott R. Sutherland and his wife Crissy Smith Sutherland of Somerville; sister Sharon Sutherland Marhewka and husband Guy of West Hartford, CT;  Stepmother Janet Sutherland of Pennsylvania; brother in law of Debbie and Mike Reich of Arizona, Sally and Mike O’Shea of Pennsylvania, Kenneth Roush of Pennsylvania, John and Naomi Roush, of Texas and many nieces, nephews and long time special and wonderful friends.  Scott’s love extended to his furry companions – dachshunds Manny, Rosie and Buddy.
