Joseph Adams – 62, of Lowell and formerly of Springfield, died unexpectedly at the Lowell General Hospital on Saturday, November 27, 2021.

Born in Springfield, MA on November 14, 1959. He was the son of the late Joseph R. Westcott and Beverly Joan (Tobey) McCoy. He was raised and attended school in Springfield and was a graduate of West Springfield High School.

Joe was a U.S. Air Force Veteran, he was an Airman First Class and  served from 1979 to 1981. He was an Aircraft Maintenance Specialist. He later worked as a sales manager at several convenience stores. He has been a resident of Lowell for the past 33 years.

Joe was loving, caring, colorful and he lived life by his own rules. He always loved a good argument. His personal style of dress was outrageous from his insanely colorful clothing to his wild and bizarre hats. He would even dye his long beard in different colors. Nothing was too over the top. Everyone loved to see Pops to checkout that day’s look.

He liked to collect figurines, he loved long drives, he loved his dog and his colorful wardrobe. His favorite pastime was getting stoned and watching TV.

Family members include his loving wife of 29 years, Mary A. (Gallant) Adams; daughters, Angela Hope Perez and Angela Sue Gallant; brothers, Richard Westcott and Richard Mahaney; grandchildren, Joseph and Destiny Marcotte, Aislyn, Brielle, Brycen and Aerlyn Perez.

A Celebration of his life will be held at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of the Croswell Funeral Home, 19 Bow Street, North Reading. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made in his memory to the charity of one’s choice.

Donald  P.  Carter, Jr. – 65, of Malden, formerly of North Reading, died unexpectedly at the Melrose-Wakefield Hospital on Thursday, November 25, 2021.

Born in Stoneham, MA on June 3, 1956. He was the son of the late Donald P., Sr. and Joan L. (Bugley) Carter. He attended the L.D. Batchelder School in North Reading and Malden public schools. He has been a resident of Malden for the past 45 years.

Don worked as forklift operator for many years and has been retired for the past several years. He loved the New England Patriots, Boston Red Sox and skiing.

Family members include his loving brothers, John Carter and his wife Diana, Richard Carter and Robert Carter and his wife Deborah; sisters, Linda McCullogh and her husband James and Ann Moniot and her husband Kenneth; also survived by many loving nieces and nephews, he was the Godfather of Robert Carter, Jr.

Funeral service will be held at the Croswell Funeral Home, 19 Bow Street, North Reading on Wednesday, December 1 at 11:30 AM. Visitation will be held prior to the funeral from 10:00 AM to 11:20 AM. On November 21, 2021, Lorraine J. (Caprara) Boucher, 88, of North Reading, peacefully passed away surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife and best friend of William D. Boucher. They had been sweethearts for seventy years, and on November 13, 2021 celebrated their 66th Wedding Anniversary.

Originally from Wappingers Falls, New York, Bill and Lorraine moved to North Reading in 1963, where they raised their family. She was the devoted mother of Denise (Boucher) Beal and her husband Malcolm; Cary Boucher and his wife, Robin; Mary Alison Boucher, and Michael Boucher. She was the cherished grandmother “Grandmere” of Joseph Beal and his wife, Sandra; Justina (Beal) Christian and her husband Scott; Jeremy Beal, Joshua Beal, Kyle Boucher, Ryan Boucher, Caroline Boucher, Colin Boucher, William Boucher and Andrew Boucher. She also had nine great-grandchildren. For Lorraine, it was always family first and she delighted in welcoming each new member. Her warm smile would light up whenever any of them entered the room.

Lorraine was born in 1932, to Clement J. Caprara, Sr. and Marie Jeanne (Gervais) Caprara. She leaves her loving sister Jeanne M. (Caprara) Nolan and her husband J. Wesley; and her brother-in-law Joseph Bushee and his wife Nancy. She was predeceased by her brother, Clement J. Caprara, Jr. and his wife Eleanor, and by her sister-in-law, Barbara Rogers. She will be fondly remembered by her many nieces and nephews.

Prior to retirement in 1989, Lorraine worked at IBM in New York, and Avco/Textron in Wilmington, MA as an engineering records specialist. She had many varied interests including crafting, painting, and gardening. She enjoyed traveling and day trips to Marblehead Neck. She loved to celebrate the holidays. Always thoughtful, she took great care to find the perfect gift for everyone on her list, and her family eagerly anticipated her eggplant parmigiana, sausage stuffing, and apple pie.

Lorraine was very active and engaged in several fitness activities. In high school, she was a cheerleader and played on many sports teams. She enjoyed basketball, swimming, ice skating and walking.

Lorraine was a long-time member of the North Reading Garden Club. She appreciated the many friendships she made there and always looked forward to their Silver Tea and other events. She was a communicant at St. Theresa’s Church. On November 26, 2021, a funeral mass was officiated there by Bishop Mark O’Connell.

The family wishes to thank the staff at Winchester Hospital and Care Dimensions Hospice in Lincoln, MA for their excellent care. In lieu of flowers, they ask that donations be made in her name to Care Dimensions.

Robert  M.  Reppucci –84, of Seabrook, NH and formerly of Somerville, MA, died Wednesday, November 17, 2021 at Masconomet Healthcare in Topsfield.

Born in Somerville, MA on October 21, 1937, he was the son of the late Michael and Catherine (Schwartz) Reppucci. Robert attended Christopher Columbus High School in the North End of Boston. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps.

He worked for the M.B.T.A. for many years. He was very giving to others and was always straight to the point. He liked smoking cigars, watching football and scratch tickets.

Family members include his late sisters, Ann Burke of Quincy and Katherine Winters of North Reading; his nephew, Robert J. Winters of Middleton, formerly of North Reading and brother-in-law, Robert E. Winters of Middleton, formerly of North Reading. Also survived by his dear friends at 2 Guys Smoke Shop in Seabrook, NH.

Howard M. Ash, Jr. –  94, of North Reading, formerly of Lynnfield and Somerville,  died at his home on Sunday, November 21, 2021. He was the beloved husband of the late Judith M. (Anderson) Ash.

Born in Cambridge, MA on June 5, 1927. He was the son of the late Howard M., Sr. and Lilly (Payne) Ash. He was raised and attended school in Lynnfield. He was a U.S. Navy Veteran of World War II.

Howard worked for General Electric after serving in the U.S. Navy. He later worked for American Architectural Iron Company (Local No. 7 Ironworkers) for over 30 years.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, cars and car repairing. His favorite sport was auto racing. He was very talented in that he could fix or build anything. If something was broken, you could always count on him to repair it. He has been a resident of North Reading for the past 62 years. Howard was a member of the Granite State Wheelmen Bicycle Club, East Coast Sidebanders Radio Club and the Lowell Sportsmen’s Club.

Family members include his loving son, Russell Ash and his wife Karen; daughters, Carolyn Ash and Martha Hartery and her husband Owen; 4 grandchildren Brian, Laura, Shannon and Colleen; 4 great grandchildren, Alana, Austin, Julian and Liliana. He was the brother of the late Hedley Ash and Dorothy Hopkins.
