T. Daniel Potter – 61, of North Reading, died unexpectedly at his home on Sunday, February 20, 2022.
Born in Lynn, MA on March 31, 1960. He was the son of the late Arthur “Skip” Potter and Judith (Doherty) Wallace. He was a U.S. Air Force Veteran, serving from 1980 to 1986. He was a Security and Management Specialist.
Dan was a graduate of North Reading High School. He attended Curry College and received his degree from the U.S. Air Force. He was employed by Fed Ex as an Operations Manager.
Dan was a North Reading hockey and baseball coach for several years.. He enjoyed hockey, skiing, boating, fishing and golf. He loved cooking and listening to country music. He was a beloved father, Dan’s greatest pride was his six children, whom he loved dearly.
Family members include his former wife Kathleen (Griffin) Potter and their children, Melissa, Thomas, Jared, Mark, Sarah and Griffin Potter, all of North Reading; his sister, Lori Potter Murray and two nieces, Elizabeth Potter- Eleftheriou and Samantha Potter Marotte, all of New Hampshire. He is also survived by several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
His Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, March 8, at 10:30 AM at St. Theresa’s Church, 63 Winter Street, (Rt. 62) North Reading. Calling hours will be held on Monday, March 7 from 5 to 8 PM at the Croswell Funeral Home, 19 Bow Street, North Reading.

We shared many wonderful memories at Peace AFB. We communicated over the years. He was a great guy full of positive energy and life. He was one of my team members on the Giant Sword team and SWAT team. This news saddens me greatly! I send my heart felt sympathy to Danny’s family and children. Words cannot describe how deeply sorry I am for your loss. Rest in Peace my brother.

I’m in total shock finding out about Dans passing!! We graduated NRHS together in 1978! Rest Well Danny!!

Im so very sorry about Dan. I worked with him at Fdx. He always spoke of his kids and he loved them so. My sympathies to the family

So sorry for your loss. I worked with Dan in the Wilmington FedEx facility. He always had a smile and was a great teammate. I will miss him.

Having worked with and for Dan, he was a terrific peoples manager, he always had our backs. He took a lot of heat for that but that was the way he operated. Danny, I miss our Monday morning golf games with Phyl. My deepest condolences to his family and friends. May he Rest In Peace.

Kathleen and Family, sorry for the loss, This was a big surprise. I always enjoyed talking to Dan and 1 year we coached Hockey together. He Loved watching his Kids Play Hockey and they always played with a lot of Passion for him. I know he will be missed by many.
