Maurice R. Gauthier

Maurice R. “Moe” Gauthier – 65, of North Reading and formerly of Lowell, died Tuesday, October 9, 2018, after a lengthy illness.

Born in Lowell, MA on October 2, 1953.  He was the son of the late Edmond and Jeannette (Labrecque) Gauthier. Moe worked his entire life doing roofing, siding and construction. He spent most of his career working at Thor. He loved his trade and was passionate about his work. Moe would go above and beyond and make wells out of leftover material from the job. He was an incredibly talented man and a hard worker. He has been a resident of North Reading for the last thirty years.

Moe would do anything for anybody. He was very generous and kind. Everyone who knew him loved him. He loved to make people laugh and was so good at it. Moe loved playing cards, being silly, watching old westerns, spending time with his family and sharing a snack with his dog Blue.

Family members include his loving wife, Cheryl (MacDonald) Gauthier; sons, Robert Gauthier, Eric Gauthier and Kevin Gauthier and his wife Jacqueline; his daughter, Danielle Gauthier; brothers, Paul Gauthier and his wife Christine and Leo Gauthier; sisters, Elaine Parent and husband Albert, Pauline Dubois and husband Donald, Denise Ivaldi and Doris Geist and husband George; grandchildren, Zachary and Kyle Gauthier; sister-in-law, Michelle Gauthier and numerous nephews and nieces.

His funeral will be held from the Croswell Funeral Home, 19 Bow Street, North Reading on Monday, October 15 at 9:45 AM, followed by an 11:00 AM Funeral Mass at St. Theresa’s Church, 63 Winter Street(Rt. 62), North Reading. Calling hours will be held on Sunday, October 14 from 1:00 to 5:00 PM. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery in North Reading.
