  1. I served with AL in the same Coast Guard unit from 1973-1988, he was my superior, he treated everyone under him as an equal, he never pulled rank on anyone, he had more construction knowledge than anyone I knew, SEMPER PERATUS Henry Diorio U.S. Coast Guard (RET)

  2. To Al’s family, he was always an outstanding and honorable man. I met him first as an active Coastguardsman back some where 75-79. Then worked with him many, many times over the years here in town. He represented you and all of us with the highest levels of integrity and respect. Even when we didnt always agree on some some strange point within the building codes he ALWAYS was polite and professional. My dad and I are sorry for your loss as we too will miss him. If we were out and about the yard he would often stop just to say “hi and chew the fat” We hope your family finds nothing but love and kindness in his legacy. The Woodmansee’s

  3. He was such a kind heart and a good person to help anybody who needed it he will be missed so much rip
